At South Bay Humane, we rescue pets by responding to reports of stray, abandoned, or mistreated animals, often working closely with animal control, local law enforcement, or the community. 

The goal is to rehabilitate them in a safe, compassionate environment while working to find them loving, permanent homes. Every step is guided by the belief that every pet deserves a second chance.

After ensuring the animals are healthy, vaccinated, and spayed or neutered, the shelter highlights their personalities through photos, bios, and adoption events. Potential adopters are screened through applications and interviews to ensure a good fit.
